HOUSING CHARACTERISTICS <br />• Approximately 81% of Ramsey homeowners have a mortgage. About 18% of homeowners <br />with mortgages in Ramsey also have a second mortgage and/or home equity loan. These <br />numbers are slightly higher compared to Anoka County and the Metro Area where approxi- <br />mately 14% of homeowners in Anoka County and in the Metro Area have a mortgage. <br />• The median value for homes with a mortgage for the City of Ramsey homeowners is approx- <br />imately $221,100, while the median value for homes without a mortgage are $1,800 higher <br />at $222,900. Housing units with a mortgage are 5% higher than those in Anoka County but <br />12% lower when compared to the Metro Area.
