The chief executive and <br />administrative staff know the strengths and <br />weaknesses of activities that the State or <br />Entitlement jurisdiction has initiated, or in some <br />direct fashion, supported. However, this knowledge <br />should extend well beyond this arena to actions <br />taken by housing industry members, private <br />organizations and foundations, the public housing <br />agency (PHA), neighborhood groups, regional <br />organizations, and others to further fair housing <br />objectives."29 <br />... <br />■. ... <br />• <br />Analysis of Impediments <br />A number of cities in the metro region receive federal funding directly from the <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development, or are subgrantees. This funding comes <br />with the requirement to affirmatively further fair housing.
