CC Regular Session 4. 5. <br />Meeting Date: 09/10/2019 <br />By: Grant Riemer, Engineering/Public <br />Works <br />Information <br />Title <br />Authorize Replacement of Leaking Discharge Valve on Municipal Center HVAC System <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this case is to inform the council of the of the HVAC repair and the use of the Capital Maintenance <br />Fund as the funding source. <br />Background: <br />Carrier Commercial Service was brought in to diagnosis a problem that maintenance staff had discovered with the <br />cooling system. Carrier found that a discharge valve on the A circuit was malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. <br />We are currently running on the B circuit , but that circuit is not sufficient to handle the load and we have no <br />backup, if that circuit were to fail. <br />Notification: <br />N/A <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Cost of the replacement parts and labor will be $9,410.00 <br />Funding Source: <br />Funding source will be the Capital Maintenance Fund <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommendation is to hire Carrier Commercial Service to replace the valve and all labor costs associated with <br />the repair. <br />Action: <br />Motion to hire Carrier Commercial Service to replace the valve and all labor costs associated with the repair. <br />Funding will come from the Capitol Maintenance fund in the amount not -to -exceed $9,410.00 <br />Attachments <br />Repair Quote <br />Service Report <br />Form Review <br />Inbox Reviewed By Date <br />Kurt Ulrich Kurt Ulrich 09/05/2019 10:13 AM <br />Form Started By: Grant Riemer Started On: 09/04/2019 12:43 PM <br />Final Approval Date: 09/05/2019 <br />
