Recently~, Phlte Homes has discussed with staff an idea for <br />an 800 unit residential development west of ToWn Center. Staff would like to propose master <br />plalming of the area, rather than someone else dictating how they would like the area to be. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated staff wOuld, suggest the City work with Mike Gair of MFRA <br />on this process and will be bringing a complete !recommendation to the Council at the regular <br />meeting. He would like to move on this as quicldy as possible, so the City is not reacting to the <br />developer. · <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig indicated he will be abstaining from discussions on the planning in this <br />area due to possible conflict of interest. : <br /> <br />5) Special Event Permit - Diamond's SPor~s Bar <br /> <br />Moved up in the agenda to precede agenda item no. 4. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Upcoming Meetings <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman announced the Council workshop is scheduled for February 9th and <br />10t~,, ending at noon on the l0th. Staff w°Uld lik~ to schedule a.joint meeting with the Planning <br />Commission for the night of FebrUary 10th. imaYor Gamec requested the meeting be scheduled <br />for February 17th.
