This
inventory has a listing of nearly 1,000 individual street segments, each containing information on
construction and maintenance history. Once the changes have been entered into the database, a
five-year projection of future street maintenance funding needs would be presented to the
Committee. This was anticipated for the February 2002 Public Works meeting.

Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the costs presented were the proposed cost for the entire
project or were they only the City's share of the project.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that it was the overall cost.

Councilmember Zimmerman inquired as to what a typical homeowner would pay for a
sealcoating project versus an overlay.

Public Works Committee/January 15, 2002
