· Thought that the 150 - 300 foot length criteria would be a difficult goal <br />· Anoka required the standard street width of 32 feet <br />· Others allowed street width to vary between 24 - 32 feet depending on parking <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak requested that the following language be added to the first sentence of the <br />policy: "..must have at least one main thoroughfare..". She also noted that in her opinion a <br />thoroughfare should have an entrance and an exit to the development as well as all townhome <br />developments should have sidewalks along both sides of the main thoroughfare. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to recommend <br />that the City Council adopt the interim private street policy until Chapter 9 rewrite is complete. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec and Councilmembers Kurak, Anderson, and <br />Zimmerman.
