Principal City Engineer Olson replied that the funds for the drainage and utility easement would <br />come from the storm water management impact fund and the funds for the trail easements would <br />come from the trail fund. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if there were adequate funds available. <br /> <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied that any action would be contingent upon the availability <br />of the funds. At this time staff was requesting authorization to begin the negotiation process. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to recommend that City Council <br />authorize staff to prepare the easement documents and authorize the City Administrator to begin <br />negotiations contingent upon the availability of funds in the appropriate funds. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if it was staff's intention to go ahead <br />based on the motion. Mayor Gamec replied that the case would have to be brought back with <br />final plans, costs and recommendations. Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if at this point <br />they were only authorizing the first step to negotiate with property owners and prepare costs. <br />Mayor Gamec replied yes. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Anderson, <br />Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE INPUT <br /> <br />1) Alpine Drive Sign Recognition <br /> <br />Staff will be requesting advanced warning signs for Alpine Drive along Armstrong Boulevard. <br /> <br />2) Subdivision Check List <br /> <br />Staff presented an example of the subdivision check list. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman requested that staff make a copy of the check list and include it in <br />next agenda. <br /> <br />3) #116 Property right of way <br /> <br />Issue was discussed during Case #4. <br /> <br />4) T.H. #47 Update <br /> <br />Principal City Engineer Olson stated that he had talked to the County Engineer regarding the <br />possibility of T.H. #47 being turned back to the County and he stated that there were no plans in <br />the works to do so. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/March 19, 2002 <br /> Page 16 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
