He inquired as to how wide the frontage road would be.

Principal Engineer Olson replied that the width would be 30 feet.

Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the highway department were to decide to expand the
highway would the City still have room for a frontage road.

Principal City Engineer Olson replied that the highway department would have to make room to
relocate the frontage road.

Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he would like to know from the highway department as
to how much right of way they will need.

Principal Engineer Olson replied that until it is determined what type of road will be going
through they will not know how much right of way will be needed.

Councilmember Zimmerman stated that the City should keep track of how much funds they are
spending on Highway #10 issues.

Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what the driving need was for extending sewer and
water to the Ramsey Professional Building.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that the objective was to provide sewer and water to the Ramsey
Professional Building and to the western boundary of the property for future development.

Public Works Committee/April 16, 2002
