Anoka County <br />MINNESOTA <br />Respectful, Innovative, Fiscally Responsible <br />Anoka County 2019 <br />Multi -Jurisdictional <br />All Hazards Mitigation Plan <br />Reviewed to insure hazards and risks to Anoka County were included in the <br />Countywide Hazard Mitigation Plan and goals for Anoka County <br />Jurisdictions compliment the State of Minnesota's goals. <br />• FEMA Strategic Plan Fiscal Years 2018-2022 <br />Reviewed FEMA guidance to ensure that the Anoka Countywide Hazard <br />Mitigation Plan compliments the vision in the FEMA Strategic Plan <br />• National Incident Management System (NIMS) <br />Anoka County Continues to use promote and support NIMS. The <br />documents were reviewed to ensure that Anoka County's Mitigation Plan <br />conforms to NIMS requirements. <br />• U.S. Department of Homeland Security National Planning Frameworks <br />Documents <br />The series of documents provide guidance on how the Federal Government <br />will cooperate and assist during incidents and events. These documents <br />were reviewed to ensure that the Countywide Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />compliments and supports the Frameworks. <br />• FEMA National Flood Insurance: Program Description <br />• National Weather Service: Operations Present and Future <br />• FEMA State and Local Mitigation Planning How-to Guides <br />o Getting Started <br />o Developing the Mitigation Plan <br />o Integrating Human -Caused Hazards into Mitigation Planning <br />o Bringing the Plan to Life <br />This series of documents was reviewed to provide assistance and guidance <br />during the process of updating the Countywide Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />These documents, on file at Anoka County Emergency Management Agency in electronic or <br />hard copy format, provided valuable guidance in the planning process. <br />The documents served to acquaint committee members with the many roles of emergency <br />management. Planning guides helped to tie together the phases of mitigation planning for <br />committee members from a broad range of backgrounds outside mitigation and emergency <br />management. <br />State and federal response and homeland security documents were referenced to ensure <br />Anoka County's goals supported these plans and promoted compliance with requirements. The <br />State of Minnesota Hazard Mitigation Plan formed the basis for identifying and analyzing the <br />natural hazards and manmade hazards that could affect Anoka County and the participating <br />jurisdictions. The Anoka County Emergency Operations Plan provided insight into the <br />jurisdictional response to disasters and was used to develop and validate mitigation goals, <br />objectives, and actions. <br />25 <br />
