Similar union and non -union adjustments are important in order to effectively maintain internal equity,
compete in external hiring processes, and to retain the City's talent. The City may consider alternate wage and
benefit packages, however, staff does not recommend an alternative action.
Funding Source:
The funding required for this action is included in the proposed 2020 budget.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends adopting resolution # 19-286 to move forward with the City non -union health and dental
insurance contributions as listed and three percent (3%) COLA on January 1, 2020.
Action:
Motion to adopt resolution #19-286 to do the following:
1) Authorize the following non -union monthly City health insurance contributions, effective January 1, 2020:
Employee Only (Single) up to $957.50, Employee and Children at $1,153.30, Employee and Spouse at $1,203.10,
and Family at $1,483.50, or $370.00 to waive coverage; and
2) Authorize the non -union dental contribution, effective January 1, 2020, of $33.45 per month; and
2) Authorize increasing the non -union wage scale by three percent (3%), effective January 1, 2020.
Attachments
Res 19 286
2020 Health Insurance Rates
Form Review
Inbox Reviewed By Date
Colleen Lasher (Originator) Colleen Lasher 12/03/2019 03:05 PM
Kurt Ulrich Kurt Ulrich 12/05/2019 09:57 AM
Form Started By: Colleen Lasher Started On: 11/21/2019 03:44 PM
Final Approval Date: 12/05/2019
