Miscellaneous:

Mate Building: Currently the City is involved in confidential negotiations with a company that
is looking at purchasing the Mate building. The company has the potential to bring 125 jobs and
utilize the exiting structure in its current state. Updates will follow...

Phone Discussion: Recently staff received a phone call from a business stating that the City was
buying up all the metal buildings and making it harder for smaller businesses to be able to afford
buying them. This business owner, who currently leases in Ramsey also expressed concern
about thc lack of 1-2 acre lots for small businesses. I believe these items can be addressed in the
workplan discussion but I thought this phone discussion was worthy of specific notation.

Debee [)roperty: The City Purchased the Debee property for $170,000 on Aril 6, 2005. A
relocation payment was also made to Mr. Debee to move his equipment to his new location in
Mora. Staff' will open meaningful negotiations with a Ramsey business to discuss relocating to
the Debcc property and to construct a new building in 2005.

Amoco l'roperty: Staff and the City Attorney have been in contact with counsel for Amoco.
Details of the purchase agreement are being reviewed Staff is hopeful a closing will occur on or
before May 31, 2005.

Zero-Zone Refi-igeration: On Monday, February 7, 2005 SUPERVALU purchased Total
Logistics, Inc. Zero Zone Refrigeration was held by this holding company. ' Staff is currently in
contact with SuperValu and Zero-Zone to finalize a proposed acquisition of the former Spohn
l'roperty for a future expansion. The City:is still negotiating the terms and sales price of the
property.

Future Meeting Topics:
1. Monument Signage

~7
