Ramsey Municipal Center/Parking Facility: <br />On March 22, 2005, the Ramsey City Council authorized the advertising of bids for <br />construction of the Ramsey Municipal Center. It expected that the bidding period <br />will be done by mid-May. After the bids are received, the City Council will make <br />the decision on whether to proceed with the project. If the project is authorized, the <br />construction of the Ramsey Municipal Center will begin in June with expected <br />completion in Fall of 2006. <br /> <br />]'he City is also going through the final design process for the Ramsey Municipal <br />Parking Facility. It is expected that these f'mal approvals will occur in the next <br />couple months, with a tentative start date of July 2005. It is expected that the parking <br />structure will substantially be completed by December 2005 with full completion by <br />thc Spring of 2006. <br /> <br />Residential Developments <br /> <br />The City has received several applicatio, ns. for housing developments within the <br />Ramsey Town Center. It is expected that some of this new housing will be started in <br />the Fall of 2006. Below are brief summaries of the proposed residential <br />developments. <br /> <br />Rctmxey Town Center 2'~Addition. D.R. Horton received approval to construct 103 <br />townhome units in 2004 along Ramsey Blvd.. A couple of the buildings have begun <br />construction and Horton has indicated that they plan on constructing a majority of <br />their units this year. <br /> <br />Ram.vey Town Center 6th Addition. This project will be the second phase of the D.R. <br />Norton project and will contain 78 townhome units. The development will be west <br />ot: Ilorton's first phase. <br /> <br />Ramsey Town Center 7~h Addition. The City will be receiving a preliminary plat for a <br />townhome development being proposed by Town and Country Homes. The project <br />will be directly south of County Road 116 and west of the D.R. Horton development. <br />The subdivision is proposing to have approximately 190 townhomes. <br /> <br />Ramsey Town Center 8th Addition. The City is working with Ramsey Town Center <br />LLC on a sketch plan that will bring townhome and small lot single family homes on <br />thc ~l'own Center property north of 116. Presently, it is anticipated that there will be <br />63 small-lot single family lots and 196 townhomes for a total of 259 units. It is <br />expected that the approval process for this development will take place of the <br />SI_lIT/II]er. <br /> <br />Crestview Senior I-Iousing. Staff has met with representatives of Crestview regarding <br />their project in the Ramsey Town Center. At this time, Crestview is proposing to <br />have approximately 100 senior apartments, assisted living units, and skilled care <br />lhcilities. The Crestview buildings will be located along Sunwood Drive, east of the <br />Ramsey Municipal Facility. <br /> <br /> <br />
