MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT I) Fire Department Banquet (kmnciln~cmbcr Pearson announced he and his wife, along with Mayor Gamec and his wife, atlcndcd a banquet held by the Fire Department. It was an excellent dinner and a nice program. tlc stated there is not a finer group than the Ramsey Fire Department, including their families that support them. I Ic thanked the Fire Department for their dedication to the City and for al lowi lag him and his wi £e to be present at their annual celebration. 2) Upcoming Meetings and Events Thc lbllowing meetings and events were announced: Yhc Mayors' Prayer Breakfast will be held on March 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the Constance l"rcc l';vangelical Church in Andover. Any Councilmembers planning to attend should intbrm Assistant City Administrator Nelson. The event is open to the public and is coordinated by Youth First. q'hc next City Cottncil meeting is scheduled for March 22nd at 7:00 p.m. The Ramsey Rotary Anniversary Dinner will be held on March 31st at 6:00 p.m. c~ Assistant City Administrator Nelson noted this event will include a silent auction and fundraiser for the three women that perished in the recent explosion. 'l'hcrc will be a Council work session scheduled following the Public Works Committee meeting on March 15th. Thc first meeting of the lIRA is scheduled for March 22na at 6:30 p.m. Thc North Suburban Home Improvement Show will be held at the Anoka Armory on March 19"' fi'om 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cities of Ramsey, Anoka, Champlin, Coon Rapids and Andover participate in this event.
