COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Adopt Resolution #20-036 Accepting Feasibility Report for 2020 Overlay <br />Improvements, Improvement Project #20-02 <br />City Engineer Westby reviewed the staff report and recommendation to adopt Resolution #20- <br />036 accepting the feasibility report for 2020 overlay improvements, Improvement Project #20- <br />02. <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Riley, to Adopt Resolution <br />#20-036 Accepting Feasibility Report for Improvement Project #20-02, 2020 Overlay <br />Improvements. <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Riley noted that this was a hard decision from the Public <br />Works Committee as these roads need repair. He stated that it was determined that the roads <br />cannot be overlaid and need further improvement than could be provided through this project. <br />Mayor LeTourneau stated that at the time the roads were constructed there was not a consistent <br />process applied and therefore it can be frustrating to keep encountering this issue with the lack of <br />road base. He stated that he is glad that the City now has a process in place to ensure roads are <br />constructed to the appropriate standards. <br />City Council / February 24, 2020 <br />Page 4 of 9 <br />
