Councihnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #0$-04-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER $8,600 FROM THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />CONTINGENCY FUND FOR CHINA SISTER CITY PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has recently considered the possibility of a sister <br />relationship with the City of Loudi, China; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to embark on a sister-city relationship, delegations will be <br />sent to China and thc City will receive delegations from the City of Lourdi; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a first visit to Loudi is scheduled for May with two City officials <br />will meet with Loudi offices to formally initiate the relationship; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cost of the trip will total $8,600 with funding obtained from a <br />transl'er fi'om the Council Contingency fund to the budget of administration. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That thc Ramsey City Council authorizes the transfer of $8,600 from the budget <br /> of the Council Contingency to the budget of administration. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by, Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this day of ,2005. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
