That on December 20, 1999, Donald Kveton, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant,"
properly applied for a conditional use permit to maintain a second main building (dwelling)
on the Subject Property.
2. That the applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing
pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on January 4, 2000, and that said public
hearing was properly advertised, and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby
incorporated as a part of these findings by reference.
3. That the Subject Property is 35 acres in size.
4. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R -1 Rural Residential and
located in the Rural Service area for which density is restricted to 4 units in 40 acres.
5. That Section 9.11.01 (General Requirements) of City Code states that there shall not be
more than one main building on a lot except as otherwise provided.
6. That the City Council reaffirms the necessity of maintaining the City Code Section 9.11.01
providing that there shall be no more than one main building on a lot" as said section is an
important part of the City's planning and zoning regulations generally intended to benefit
the health and welfare of the community and because of this finding, the City generally
opposes granting variances to this requirement of City Code Section 9.11.0.
