Case #9: Receive Bids For Council Chambers Audio Equipment: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley reported that Quad Cities Cable Communications has made available to <br />Ramsey approximately $5,(X)0 for the purpose of upgrachng the cable communications and <br />audio equipment at the City of Ramsey. Proposals were submitted for audio equipment by <br />Quad Cities Cable Commission Administrator, Terry O'Connell; the lowest bid received <br />was $5,935; it is likely that the entire cost will be funded the Cable Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that specs for the audio equipment include goose neck n'ficrophones for <br />councilmembers and low profile microphones for staff. Mr. Hartley suggested that in an <br />effort to remedy sound quality problems experienced in broadcasting city meetings, all <br />nficrophones be of the goose neck type. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to authorize the <br />Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission to accept the low bid from Audio-Visual <br />Wholesalers for audio equipment at the City of Ramsey and to amend the project to include <br />all goose neck type microphones. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson and <br />Cich. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberPeterson. <br /> <br />Case #10: Easement Acquisition And Assessment Agreement; Case Of <br /> Mr. Albin Peterson: <br /> <br />Mr. Raati'~a reported that he, Mayor Reimann and City Attorney Goodrich have been <br />negotiating with Mr. Albin Peterson for the past 2-3 months to acquire necessary easements <br />relating to Improvement Projects 89-14 and 89-18. Mr. Raat' 'flcka reviewed the proposed <br />easement and assessment a~eement with Council. Mr. Raatikka requested Council <br />approval to £malize and execute the easement acquisition and assessment agreement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to authorize the <br />Mayor and City Administrator to finalize and enter into an easement and assessment <br />agreement with Mr. Albin Peterson. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Cich and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Peterson. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) Name of New School In District <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann presented a draft letter to the Mayor of Brooklyn Park encouraging that the <br />new school in Anoka-Hennepin School District be given a neutral or non-city name. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember C~ch to forward a <br />letter, as drafted, to the Mayor of Brooklyn Park regarding the naming of the new school in <br />the Ano -ka Hennepin School Dish"Jct. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cich, Pearson and <br />DeLuca. Voting No: None.
