b) Letter From Minnesota Extension Service Regarding Oak Wilt <br /> <br />Mayor Rcimann reported that a letter received from Minnesota Extension Service requests <br />thc attendance of the City Forester and one elected official at a meeting on May 2, 1990 at <br />9:30 a.m. at thc Bunker Hills Activity Center regarding funding for oak wilt control. <br />Mayor Reimann stated that Bruce Bacon will be attending the meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson volunteered to attend the meeting on May 2. <br /> <br />c) Status Of Extension Of 153rd Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Councihnember Pearson stated that he usually rents farm land that will be a part of the <br />extension of 153rd Avenue and inquired if he would be able to plant and harvest a crop' <br />prior to construction beginning. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka replied that the particular area to which Councilmember Pearson refers is <br />proposed to commence construction prior to harvest time. <br /> <br />Schedule Joint Meeting With Economic Development Commission And Reschedule <br />Joint Meeting With Airport Commission <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley reported that the Economic Development Commission is requesting a joint <br />meeting with City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich stated that he will not be able to attend the joint meeting with the <br />Airport Commission on May 23 and would like it rescheduled. <br /> <br />City Council directed City Staff to schedule joint meetings with the Economic Development <br />Commission and the Airport Commission on the same evening in earl), June, with each <br />meeting having a time limit placed upon it. <br /> <br />e) <br /> <br />Meeting With Metro Council And Surrounding Communities Regarding 4 In 40 <br />Density Zoning <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that at the request of the Mayor of Andover, he participated in a <br />meeting with representatives of Metro Council regarding 4 in 40 density zoning. Mayor <br />Reimann summarized the topics discussed at the meeting. <br /> <br />f) Status Of Comprehensive Plan Update <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that City Staff is currently working to update the Comprehensive Plan; it <br />was last updated in 1980. <br /> <br />g) Monitoring At The Anoka Regional Sanitary Landfill <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley reported that he has written to MPCA requesting that monitoring data from the <br />Anoka Regional Landfill be reported in a format that is understandable to the City and from <br />which the City can determine ff the data has been properly evaluated. <br /> <br />A similar letter was sent to Robert Hutchison at Anoka Count, and it also requests that the <br />thresholds for sensing contaminants at domestic and test wells be set at whatever the <br />standards are for acceptable drinking water. <br /> <br />City Council/April 10, 1990 <br />Page 11 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
