City of Ramsey - Class Specification Bulletin Page 2 of 3 <br />• Previous experience working for a municipality or county <br />• Previous paid professional experience landscaping experience <br />ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: <br />• Mowing and trimming parks and trails <br />• Landscaping duties including planting trees, shrubs and flowers <br />• Pruning trees <br />• Maintaining athletic fields (baseball, softball, soccer) including field striping and <br />dragging <br />• Park irrigation <br />• Carpentry, painting and repair work of City facilities and property <br />• Picking up trash from parks, trails, roadsides, etc. <br />• Operating equipment including mowers, weed -whips, saws, and use pruners and <br />related tools <br />• Vehicle maintenance including oil checks <br />• Street maintenance <br />• Utilities maintenance <br />• Other tasks and responsibilities (within the capabilities of the seasonal worker) as <br />assigned by the designated supervisor <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <br />• Experience mowing grass using push or ride -on equipment <br />• Knowledge of lawn mowers <br />• Experience with weed whips <br />• Experience with pruning equipment <br />• Experience with hand tools (pruners, shovels, hammers, etc.) <br />• Basic knowledge of carpentry and/or painting <br />JOB ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: <br />The following are the physical activities that are associated with this position: <br />• Standing <br />• Sitting <br />• Walking <br />• Lifting <br />• Pushing/Pulling <br />https:/lagency.governmentj obs.com/cityoframsey/default. cfm?action=specbul letin&C1assSp... 3/5/2020 <br />
