Commissioner Olds clarified the third sentence in the clarification should be the proposed ¢~mslruction sequence will need to be reviewed by the Lower Rum River Management Organization. Civil Engineer II Linton stated this will have to be reviewed and proposed by the Lower Rum River Management Organization and he was not sure where this was at in the process. Commissioner Shryock did not know where they were in the process regarding the sidewalks. Chairperson Johns stated the developer will need to pay for the sidewalks. Corem issioner Ostrum did not think they needed a sidewalk in that area. Commissioner Shryock wondered if they could ask for cash in lieu of a sidewalk. Commissioner Ostrum indicated they needed to be careful because they do not want to set a precedent. Chairperson Johns noted they might want to connect 149th and Fluorine/151st. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood thought this should be presented to the City Council with thc option of either installing a sidewalk or to get money in lieu of a sidewalk. He suggested using some cash proceeds from this if a sidewalk was not required, be used for purchasing of land lo extend the connection from 150th to 149th. They already have a corridor on 150th and could connect with purchasing more Motion by Commissioner Ostrum, seconded by Commissioner Lehman, to accept Park and Trail dedications in cash for Ramsey Meadows 5th in the amounts of $15,400 for the Park and $3,850 fi~r Ibc trail dedication, adding the value of sidewalks in cash if the City Council does not recommend the sidewalks and dedicate some of the sidewalk/trail money toward connecting the piece between 150th and 149th. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Ostrum, Lehman, LaMere, Olds, Pontius and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: None Case #4: Recommend Park Dedication for Brookfield Addition Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood noted the purpose of this case is to recommend Park Dedication for the proposed 179-acre site west of Nowthen Boulevard and south of Trott Brook. This urban development proposes 235 single-family lots. The March 3, 2005 recommendation of lhe Plamfing Commission was to not approve the sketch plan until the Comp. plan is sorted out. In addition, Oakwood Land Development is preparing an exhibit that will show specific trail rotating within and beyond the plat.
