Commissioner Watson thought the amendment to the Comprehensive Plan was wrong for so <br />many reasons. The Comprehensive Plan should be a guiding document. He stated that the ink <br />isn't even dry and we arc already changing the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Watson, seconded by Commissioner Brauer, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt thc resolution denying the request to amend the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer stated Mr. Peterson is an honest and ethical person and he knows of his <br />developments and they have all been good, but he is uncomfortable with doing anything until <br />they figure out what they are going to do in the development with the clean up. He stated he <br />needs t() see what is going to be done there and they do not even know the extent of the clean up. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer stated the amendment also bothers him because it seems to him this is a <br />policy decision. Ite stated the reason the policy bothers him is the whole issue of transition. He <br />wondered what the proper transition is if they open this up. <br /> <br />Commissioner Watson stated the whole idea of the Town Center was to keep density in one area <br />so the rest of Rmnsey could enjoy the rural density. He stated that he felt he was sold a bag of <br />goods. 1 le stated he was vehemently against this. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson stated he was going to vote against the motion. As they have talked <br />about the plans for Ramsey, there has been a fair thought that south of Trout Brook the majority <br />will be sewer. He stated if this is done, it will significantly change the character. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Brauer, Shepherd and Watson. Voting No: <br />Commissioners Johnson and Van Scoy. Abstaining: Commissioner Levine.
