Co mm un ily Development Director Trudgeon stated they have not looked at this yet. <br /> <br />M r. Augst explained on the map the layout of Traprock neighborhood. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy wondered how many accesses they have for Traprock. For a safety <br />standpoint, would there be a need to open this up. <br /> <br />A rcsidcnt stated there are two accesses into the Traprock development. <br /> <br />Corn m i ssioner B rauer wondered if they could leave Traprock closed because the residents want it <br />to remain closed and Mr. Peterson is agreeable to keeping it closed. <br /> <br />City I';ngineer Jankowski stated it was indicated from the beginning that this would be a <br />temporary cul-de-sac. He stated this is a decision the City Council has to be made and has been <br />an issue with other developments also. He stated it is a City Code that stub streets are intended <br />t(~ g() throt~gh. <br /> <br />(:emro issioner's two concerns with the sketch plan were density transitioning and the access to <br />Traprock. These items will need to be looked at as part of the platting process. <br /> <br />Corem issioner Van Scoy asked if the road to the south will remain stubbed. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon stated it will and they want to explore all <br />possibilities of expansion in the future. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy wondered if the 161st going east continuing east will be another stub <br />street. <br /> <br />(~'omm tmity Development Director Trudgeon stated this is another one that will be left. <br /> <br />('x)mmissioner Brauer stated regarding the traffic, if the two southerly roads will be stubbed, the <br />traffic down there will go to Variolite. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated this was correct. <br /> <br />('.emro i ssioner Van Scoy thought that not much traffic would go through Traprock due to all the <br />accesses onto Variolite. <br /> <br />Mice (;hait]3erson Johnson thought if this were to go forward, his recommendation would be to <br />leave ~l'raprock closed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer agreed. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/March 3, 2005 <br /> Page 9 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
