2004 CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> 5-YEAR PLAN <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLANNING <br />HIGH-PRIORITY GOALS <br /> <br />Goal: Complete build-out of Ramsey Town Center's <br />residential and commercial components in a manner that <br />generates tax revenues in excess of debt service requirements <br />for infrastructure. <br /> <br />ACTION STEPS <br />· Partner with Ramsey Town Center LLC to ensure the <br /> creation of a robust retail and commercial hub. <br />· Enforce the existing Development Agreement to ensure <br /> completion of project. <br /> <br />Goal: Create and protect an interconnected system of athletic <br />areas, parks, trails, and green spaces throughout the city. <br /> <br />ACTION STEPS <br />· Create City-wide open space/green ways plan <br /> > Intergrate the greenways map and data that was <br /> created by Anoka County Conservation District into <br /> the final plan. <br /> ~ Utilize the LCMR grant funds to implement the <br /> Trott Brook Corridor Plan, <br /> ~ Seek out alliances and partnerships with non-profit <br /> and governmental agencies to assist in securing <br /> funding and other resources that will assist in <br /> implementing the final plan. <br />· Utilize the City's Environmental Policy Task Force (EPTF) <br /> and other groups to provide environmental educational <br /> opportunities for policy makers as well as Ramsey citizens <br /> and City Staff. <br />· Update Park and Trails Plan as necessary and continue to <br /> pursue connections on the City's trail systems <br />· Work with Ramsey Youth Athletic Association (RYAA) to <br /> plan for the necessary athletic fields and facilities that will <br /> accommodate the growing community. <br /> <br />I)rali 3.4.04 PT <br /> <br /> <br />
