He <br />recognized that businesses are hurting but both Federal and State are attempting to develop <br />programs and make funding available. He stated that the EDA supported moving the items <br />forward that were within City control, including waiving the on-sale liquor license renewal fees <br />and fees related to City owned rental properties. He stated that the EDA recommended waiting <br />on the other elements. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kuzma referenced the waiver of the rent on City owned property and asked if <br />that is just a waiver that would allow more time for payment. <br /> <br />Deputy City Administrator Ulrich confirmed that only late fees would be waived, and the <br />payment would still be due. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated that he supports that action. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove thanked the EDA and City staff and stated that she supports the <br />proposed actions. <br /> <br />Deputy City Administrator provided credit to the EDA and staff for the non-monetary efforts as <br />well, including developing a business resource guide and Ramsey business guide that directs <br />residents to restaurants available for takeout service. <br /> <br />City Council / April 14, 2020 <br />Page 13 of 15 <br /> <br />
