Mr. Lili Pan stated Loudi is a city in the middle of Hunan Province with a population of four <br />million people. It is about 8,000 square kilometers in area and governs two counties and another <br />smaller township of close to a half million people. Loudi is very interested in starting a sister <br />city relationship with Ramsey. <br /> <br />Vern ttcgg stated the Ramsey Rotary is collecting a shipment of books to send to Loudi, China. <br />Residents of Loudi are trying to learn to speak English and need books to read, and this will be a <br />nice tiling to do for a sister city. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec indicated a resolution of support for the sister city relationship will be put together <br />lbr the Council to act on. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman announced there is a hand woven silk gift from the mayor of Loudi <br />displayed in the back of the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Cily Administrator Norman noted Case No. 5 will be moved to the end of the agenda as Case No. <br />10A. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig requested Case No. 9 be acted on prior to Case No. 8. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to approve the agenda <br />as amended. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Pearson, Olson, Cook, Elvig, and <br />~;trommen. Voting No: None.
