Steve Engh stated it has been a good run and he will miss everyone in the Department. <br /> <br />Mr. En. gh was recognized with a round of applause. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec thanked Mr. Engh for his contribution and stated all are proud of the Ramsey Fire <br />I)epartmcnt and their professional response. He advised that many compliments are received on <br />th.e Ramsey Fire Department and that also includes recognition of the firefighters themselves. <br />Mayor Gamec stated the firefighters are very dedicated and Mr. Engh will be missed. He wished <br />Mr. Engh and his family well in the future. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec invited two Anoka High School students to step to the podium and introduce <br />lhemselves. <br /> <br />Zander Johnson introduced Eric Svari and stated they are in the ninth grade at Anoka High <br />School and required to do five hours of government service. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he invited them to come forward and introduce themselves so it is <br />included in the Council broadcast. He encouraged them to ask questions of staff or the Council <br />should they have any. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />t/ob Hamborg, 15755 Traprock Street NW, stated his concerns relate to Cases #3, #4, #5, and #6. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he will take a limited amount of input during the consideration of those <br /> <br />cascs. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman advised that Ms. Hollis, a candidate for the Connexus Board of <br />l)ircctors, had wanted to introduce herself because she is a resident of Ramsey; however, in <br />recognition of the large audience tonight, she did not stay. <br /> <br />Cindy McKay, 7855 - 157th Avenue NW, stated she is in attendance because she received a <br />notice. She stated she works with Happy Days and is present to support the City and staff. Ms. <br />McKay stated she has lived in Ramsey for 18 years and moved here because they could afford it. <br />She stated that on Monday night, after the meeting at City Hall, she felt lucky to live in Ramsey <br />and be able to retire in Ramsey just one-half mile away so she is able to use the City Center and <br />lrain. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he knows of several landowners who have now retired and moved into a <br />townhome. <br /> <br />City Council / March 22, 2005 <br /> Page 3 of 38 <br /> <br /> <br />
