City Engineer Jankowski advised that parcel is currently zoned Business and it is true that the <br />property owner has intentions of requesting a rezoning but that would take a separate action and <br />is not part of this consideration. <br /> <br />Councihnember Cook stated when this was first looked at, several funding sources were <br />considered and the people requesting the project are paying more in assessments than property <br />owners who did not request the project. He noted the property owners not requesting the <br />improvement are only being assessed for roadway work. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that is correct and Super Bowl would be assessed only for the <br />overlay and 50% of the curb and gutter improvement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Councilmember Olson. <br /> <br />~l'he public hearing closed at 7:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:18 p.m. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski advised the project would be ordered in May. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the Proposed Plat of Sweet <br />Bay Ridge; Case of Oak~vood Land Development <br /> <br />t IRA Executive Director Frolik advised that Oakwood Land Development has submitted an <br />application for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan. The request is to change the <br />land usc designation from R-1 Rural Reserve to Low Density Residential on the property <br />generally known as the St. Anthony Gun Club, which is located on the east side of Variolite at <br />about 161 ~t Avenue. She explained the amendment to the Comprehensive Plan, along with a <br />subdivision request, would allow the applicant to develop the property with single-family homes <br />servecl by sanitary sewer and municipal water. <br /> <br />t IRA Executive Director Frolik stated Oakwood Land Development is proposing to extend <br />sanitary sewer and water to the former St. Anthony Gun Club property in the R-1 Residential - <br />Rural Reserve District. The sketch plan is proposing to develop the property with single-family <br />homes at urban densities.
