Case #3: Staff Update

Waste Management is in the process of performing their own appraisal of their property; the City
should have this appraisal by the end of February.

Extension of Sunwood Drive has been delayed because of the wetland it would extend through.
However, the City now has permission to extend the drive with a boxed culvert.

Transwest was reviewed at the last EDA meeting.

Attached to the agenda was the Sewer and Water Extension Feasibility Study for EDA members
to review. At this time the MUSA line does not extend west of Rarnsey Boulevard to the area
the study reflects. The MUSA can only be extended by an amendment to the Comprehensive
Plan.

The City took procession of Gateway North Industrial Park (Makkens Property) on December
29, 2001. A printing company in Plymouth is looking at relocating to the southerly portion of
the Park adjacent to the asphalt company. Amcon is considering a 50,000 square foot building in
the northerly portion. Amcor is considering a series of expansions to their current facility.

The City is currently negotiating with Dennis Sharp for a 50,000 - 60,000 square foot multi-
tenant two-story building on the former Sauter Property. Higher standards for the building have
been imposed because it will be a gateway to the City. Mr. Sharp has agreed to the higher
standards for this building and is considering two additional single tenant buildings. The site
plan will be brought to City Council on Tuesday, February 27, 2001.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Member Blaha, seconded by Member Riley, to adjourn the meeting.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Blaha, Riley, Anderson LeTourneau, and
Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Member Scheiber.

The regular meeting of the Economic Development Authority adjourned at 8:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

inistrator

Economic Development Authority/February 21, 2001
Page 3 of 3
