Public Works Committee 6.2. <br />Meeting Date: 06/16/2020 <br />By: Bruce Westby, Engineering/Public <br />Works <br />Title: <br />Receive Staff Updates on Improvement Projects, Studies and Items of Interest <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to update the Public Works Committee on current and proposed City, County and <br />MnDOT improvement projects and studies, and on other items of interest to the Committee. <br />City Improvement Projects <br />• The COR Regional Infiltration Basin (#18-09) <br />• Lift station not operable; control panel is damaged and needs repairs <br />• Change Order needed to address excess topsoil removal / backfill <br />• Requesting LRRWMO Permit extension to September 30, 2020 <br />• Ford Brook Estates Street Reconstructions (#19-01) <br />• Punch list work and final payment in 2020 <br />• Wood Pond Hills and Chestnut Ridge Street Reconstructions (#19-03) <br />• Punch list work and final payment in 2020 <br />• RTC 9th Addition Pond Lining Improvements (#19-06) <br />• Punch list work and final payment in 2020 <br />• Wetland 114P Outlet Control Improvements (#19-07) <br />• Designing in 2020 <br />• Construction proposed for 2021 <br />• Hedgehog Street Drainage Improvements (#19-10) <br />• Construction proposed to start June 15, 2020 <br />• Completion and final payment anticipated in 2020 <br />• Variolite Street Reconstruction (#20-01) <br />• Website updated and letters mailed to properties with direct access <br />• Executing contract documents and approving bonds and insurance <br />• Preconstruction meeting not yet scheduled <br />• Mass mailing will occur after preconstruction meeting <br />Anoka County Improvement Projects <br />• Roundabout at Armstrong Boulevard/CSAH 83 and Alpine Drive <br />• Anoka County received $1.35M in HSIP funds (est. project cost = $1.5M) <br />• Anoka County and City of Ramsey share is $150,000 each (per $1.5M est.) <br />• Anoka County beginning project design in 2020 <br />• Construction proposed to begin in 2022 pending City and County approvals <br />• Anoka County is considering moving construction up to 2021 <br />• CSAH 116 & TH 47 Intersection Improvements <br />• Constructing additional turn lanes to improve congestion and safety in 2021 <br />• Staff plans to review this project with the PWC in more detail in August <br />MnDOT Improvement Projects <br />• US 10 / 169 & Ferry Street / TH 47 Interchange <br />• Proposed for construction 2022 - 2024 <br />
