EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: South of Highway gl 0 Development <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman reviewed with the EDA the preliminary meetings staff has had with <br />Mr. Brad Lano of Lano Equipment regarding possible redevelopment plans. Staff also reviewed <br />plans for the Dickenson property, which is located south of Highway gl0, immediately adjacent <br />to the Anoka City border. It was noted that the Peterson property, located between the <br />Dickenson property and Lano Equipment, is for sale and could be utilized for development by <br />both Lano Equipment and prospects for the Dickenson property. The EDA directed staff to come <br />back to the December meeting with more detailed information regarding the possible <br />redevelopment plans for the area south of Highway #10 which includes the Dickenson, Peterson <br />and Lano equipment parcel. <br /> <br />The EDA directed the City Administrator to make initial contact with the Peterson's to discuss <br />land cost and report back to the EDA at their December meeting. <br /> <br />Case #2: Darkenwald (western Alpine Drive) Project <br /> <br />The City has received information that there are four potential developers that would like to <br />utilize property west of Alpine Drive. Two additional projects have indicated interest beyond the <br />previously discussed mechanical and lumber uses. The City Administrator has made contact <br />with Park RV and has learned that they are a willing seller. Darkenwald has approached the City <br />as a willing seller to help facilitate redevelopment and new development west of Alpine Drive. <br /> <br />Administrator Norman is in the process of obtaining appraisals of the Park RV and Darkenwald <br />property. Results of the appraisals will be brought back to the EDA at the December meeting for <br />review and further recommendation. <br /> <br />Case #3: IRT and the Chies Property Acquisition <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman reviewed with the EDA IRT's interest in developing on the Chies <br />property, Morrel's Trucking Inc. property, and Superior Striping property. Chies property is the <br />immediate need for expansion of IRT's recycling operation. Staff is waiting for an appraisal to <br />come back from Pro-source to begin negotiations. A meeting has been set up with an attorney <br />representing the Chies' to begin negotiations. <br /> <br />Case #4: Sunfish Lake Boulevard/US Highway gl0 Northeast Development <br /> <br />Administrator Norman updated the EDA regarding possible redevelopment plans of property <br />currently being utilized by Plants and Things.
