Case #5: Staff Update <br /> <br />Staff provided information regarding a joint meeting between the Public Works Committee, <br />Planning Commission and Economic Development Authority regarding future plans of Highway <br />#10. MnDot and Howard Green will be present to discuss preliminary plans regarding the future <br />of State Highway #10. <br /> <br />Case #6 Proposed CIP Projects <br /> <br />The Capital Improvements Program (CIP) is a long-range financial planning tool, which allows <br />the City a comprehensive approach to large projects over a five-year period. At a recent City <br />Council meeting, the CIP was discussed. The Council directed staff to provide more detail to <br />two sections of the CIP including the land acquisition portion, which is used primarily for <br />industrial development/redevelopment and could be used for commercial <br />development/redevelopment. Staff was directed to formulate a more detailed five-year plan for <br />property acquisitions. Staff discussed possible land acquisitions that would be brought back for <br />Council consideration. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Member Riley, seconded by Chairperson Wagner, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Members Anderson, Scheiber LeTourneau <br />and Blaha. Voting No: None.
