APPOINT SUB-COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND SCHEDULE A MEETING <br />DATE FOR THE CHAPTER 9 SUB-COMMITTEE <br /> By: Megan Wald, Community Development Assistant <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you may recall, the City is in the process of rewriting Chapter 9 of City Code. <br />Commissioners Michael Nixt and Chris Dempsey served on the Chapter 9 sub-committee <br />last year along with Council members Terry Hendriksen and Gerry Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Since work on the density transition ordinance ceased, Staff has been working on <br />rewriting other sections of Chapter 9 with Loren Gordon, a consultant from Hoisingt0n <br />Koegler Group. Staff is ready to bring a few sections forward to the committee. <br /> <br />The sub-committee will be posted as a special City Council meeting to allow the- <br />opportunity for additional Council members to attend the meetings. The committee <br />meetings will be televised to keep in accordance with the City Council's attempt for 'the <br />past few months to televise all City meefings. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is requesting that the Planning Commission appoint an additional sub-committee <br />member(s) and schedule a date in September to review revised sections in City Code. <br />The Planning Commission should be aware that the consultant will not be able meet on <br />the following dates: September 5, 11, 13, 17, and 25th. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Community Development Director <br />Principal Planner <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />-141- <br /> <br /> <br />
