Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kociscak and seconded by Commissioner Wivoda to adjourn the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Kociscak, Reeve, Watson, and <br />and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Griffiths. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 9:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt and seconded by Commissioner Wivoda to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the proposed ordinance to create a tower overlay district. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Wivoda stated that his 3 acres borders this overlay district <br />and feels that the ordinance is about as strict as the City can get it; in addition there is a lot of <br />commercial area, park land, and water towers available for towers and antennas. Commissioner <br />Reeve noted that the last two applications for cell towers were in the commercial area. Mr. <br />Watson stated this is his first Planning Commission meeting so he is trying to absorb and digest <br />the information. He further commented that Mr. Enstrom makes a good point and suggested that <br />as neighbors they stick together as situations come up. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Griffiths. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #8: Request for Site Plan Review; case of Lyndale Terminal Company <br /> <br />Ms. Wald stated that on December 12, 2000, the City Council approved rezoning the northerly <br />portion of Outlot C in River's Bend 3rd Addition to facilitate development of a Holiday store that <br />included gasoline sales. The City Council also requested that the Planning Commission review <br />the site plan and formulate a recommendation. <br /> <br />Victor Sacco, Real Estate Manager for Holiday Companies was present. <br /> <br />Ms. Wald referred to an issue raised at the December 5 Planning Commission meeting regarding <br />any setback requirements for underground fuel tanks from dwellings. She stated that staff <br />researched extensively and could not find any State, County or local setbacks between fuel tanks <br />and dwellings.
