Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Kociscak, Reeve, Watson, and <br />and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Griffiths. <br /> <br />The public hearing adjourned at 8:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />For the record, Chairperson Nixt clarified that the City is constructing 141st, 143fa' and Ebony <br />Street to provide public access to the proposed plat. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski added that the City would like to see 141st extended east to Basalt, but it is not <br />critical at this point in time. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kociscak and seconded by Commissioner Wivoda to recommend that <br />City Council approve the preliminary plat for Gateway North Industrial Park 5. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Kociscak, Reeve, Watson, and <br />and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Griffiths. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #6: Request For Site Plan Review Of T&G Land, Inc.; Case of Tom Sauter <br /> <br />Ms. Wald stated that Mr. Sauter is proposing to construct an office/warehouse and a cold store <br />warehouse on 11 acres that in the new Gateway North Industrial Park 5. The operation will <br />include off street parking of trucks and equipment. The office/warehouse is proposed to be <br />39,936 square feet and sided with pre-cast concrete panels. There is also a metal cold storage <br />warehouse that will be 20,000 square feet in size. The structures meet setbacks and lot coverage <br />restrictions in the BW District. The 20,000 square foot accessory warehouse exceeds the 30% of <br />principal structure size restriction. The siding on the cold storage warehouse is also proposed to <br />be 100% metal. The size and finish on the accessory warehouse were part of the negotiated <br />settlement between the City and Mr. Sauter in a recent land swap agreement. <br /> <br />The site will derive access from 141st Avenue N.W. The customer/employee parking area will be <br />paved, but curbing was waived as part of the land swap agreement. There is also a truck and <br />equipment storage area interior on the site that is not proposed to be paved because of the types <br /> <br />Planning Commission/January 2, 2001 <br /> Page 9 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
