Mr. Littlejohn said he has worked with cell companies since 1988 and this is the first time he has <br />run into having to use a mezzanine. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Kociscak questioned how many of these units are expected to be on the mezzanine. <br /> <br />Commissioner Reeve responded that it seems by the size that four to five units could fit. He <br />added a lot of factors must be taken into consideration; some carders have larger equipment. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Kociscak questioned whether some equipment would eventually need to be on the <br />ground. <br /> <br />Commissioner Reeve responded that is hard to predict. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sweet asked why the City plans on having equipment in the tower. <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Wald explained it is to minimize clutter around the tower. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Reeve, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Kociscak, Commissioners Johnson, Reeve, Sweet, and <br />Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 9:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Vice Chair Kociscak called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at <br />9:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Vice Chair Kociscak, to recommend that the <br />City Council adopt Findings of Fact favorable to the applicant's request for a conditional use <br />permit to install a cellular antenna system on the City water tower and to approve the request for <br />a conditional use permit and adopt a resolution declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Sweet stated she would vote against this recommendation. <br />She said the tower should be used as it was intended and the tower wasn't built to blow over. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Kociscak, Commissioners Johnson, Reeve, and <br />Watson. Voting No: Commissioner Sweet.
