Councilmember Specht agreed that this is an outside event and residents that are vulnerable can
make the choice not to attend. He stated that residents that choose to attend can take responsibility
to socially distance themselves from others. He believed that the event could move forward.

Councilmember Musgrove stated that perhaps the positioning of the band could be changed to face
across the water, which would provide additional space for people to social distance.

The consensus was to delay the concert series until later in the summer, and for staff to come back
with ideas for revised formats or venues that could support concert events when public health
guidelines allow.

2.02: Staff Update on Progress of the New Public Works Building

Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer reviewed the staff report, updating the Council on the
status of the project and modification made to reduce the cost of the project. The Council
consensus was to accept the proposed reductions, including elimination of roof reinforcement to
support future solar panel installation. Mr. Riemer also reviewed the additional design and
engineering costs associated with the proposed addition to the building, and noted that it was on
the consent agenda this evening to approve an increase in the contract to cover the design and
engineering costs for bidding this alternative.

3.
