PROJECT MEMORANDUM - S.P. 0206-55 (T.H. 47) 9) At 144"` Avenue (also referred to as Nowthen Boulevard and CSAH 5, Reference Point 22+00.688), a southbound acceleration lane will be added from eastbound t44"` Avenue. The acceleration lane will be built within Mn/DOT fight-of-way. 10) At 157'~ Avenue (Reference Point 24+00.516), a northbound bypass lane will be added. The existing right turn-lane to 156'` Avenue will be extended north, past the Rum River Boy Scout Camp entrance and 157'` Avenue, to form the bypass lane. 1 I) 600 feet south of 167o" Avenue CReference Point 25+00.67), a hump in the vertical profile of the roadway will be lowered roughly two feet. This hump ca,es a sight restriction to and from the 167"' Avenue intersection. A 300-foot long section of TH 47 will need to be reconstructed to remove this hump. 12) Az County Road 66 (Reference Point 28+00.204), Metro Traffic recommended adding mm-lanes.. Turn-lanes will not be added to this intersection as part of thi~ project due to the lack of right-of-way needed to construct the turn-lanes. I3) At Vega Drive (Reference Point 28+00.497), Metro Traffic recommended adding turn-lanes. Turn-lanes will not be added to this intersection as part of this project, due to the lack of right-of-way needed to. construct the mm-lanes. 14) At 222"~ Avenue (Reference Point 33+00.164), Metro Traffic recommended adding mm-lanes. Turn-lanes will not be added to this intersection as part of this project due to the lack of right-of-waY needed to construct the mm-lanes. 15) At Cree Avenue (Reference Point 33+00.2), the City of Saint Francis has requested that mm-lanes be constructed for a new development north of TH 4.7 (see Figure 6 on page viii), tree Avenue wilt be a new street to serve this development. It will intersect TH 47 across from the ck'iveway- entrance to St. Francis Auto Parts, Inc. Lef~ and fight tumlane to Cree ~Avenue and the St. Francis Auto Parts, Inc. are planed as part ofthis project. Right. of-way is limited on the south side of'TH ' 47, along St. Francis Auto Parts, Inc. IfMnDOT's right-of-way is not wide enough to construct right mm-lanes on the south side of'IH 47 at this' location, the fight mm-lanes to St Francis Auto . Parts, Inc. will not be constructed as part of this project. 16) At 229~ Avenue (Reference Point 34+00.576), the City of Saint Francis has requested that mm- lanes be ¢onsmacted for the new development mentioned in Item 15), above. TH 47 is a four-lane mr'a[ divided roadway at 229" Avenue. A northbound left tumlane will be constructed in the median area, and a southbound right turn lane will be constructed on the existing shoulder. Micellaneous Imtvrovernentx i7) 106 mailboxes and mailbox supports not meeting Mn/DoT standards have been identified north of Alpine Drive. These mailboxes and support~ will be replaced as part ofthis project. 18) Hydraulic work a~ Martin Street (Reference point 20.866) - Install storm Sewer 2 This Work included adding 600-feet of curb and gutter and 350-feet of storm sewer pipe. This work will not be included in this'project. b. Near CSI Recyling (Reference point 21.0) - Install storm sewer, curb and gutter.
