Absent: Lehman The Park Commission reconvened at 7:02 p.m. COMMISSION BUSINESS Case #1: Trott Brook GreenWay Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood noted since the late 1980's, the City has been pursuing land acquisition along Trott Brook because of its significance as a relatively undisturbed natural resource corridor in Ramsey, and for trail purposes. The acquisitions have been primarily through the Park Dedication process. To supplement this endeavor, the City applied to the state for assistance. As the Commission may recall, lat in 2003, the City received a half million dollars ($500,000) grant from the State of Minnesota. The appropriation is from the Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCIvlR), which are proceeds from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund. These reimbursement monies are to be used for conservation and trail easements within the Trott Brook Corridor and are available until June 1, 2006. Absent: Lehman Case #2: Consider Park and Trail Dedication for Shade Tree Cottages Civil Engineer ti Linton stated Shade Tree Communities; LLC has submitted the preliminary plat for Shade Tree Cottages. The project is at the north end of Potassium Street, which is unimproved. The existing street will need to be improved to serve this development and the adjacent Rum River Estates. The proposed street improvements are included in these plans. The project will connect to 157th Lane using the existing Radium street stub. This project is irt the Oak Recreation district. Chairperson Johns stated she saw in the write up that a trail will be needed along Nowthen Boulevard. She wondered how they will do this with the wetland. Civil Engineer 71I Linton stated the trail Will be in the County right-of-way and appears to be feasible. He stated along with the internal trails, staff is recommending a trail and easement be constructed for public access out onto Nowthen Boulevard. He stated there will need to be a sidewalk along the southern cul-de-sac. The northern cul-de-sac is private. Commissioner Ostmm asked if they do not put a sidewalk in, is there any additional monies due to the Park Commission.
