In general, the scheduled pavement history for a Ramsey City street would be as follows: Year Action 0 Construction 5 Sealcoat 12 Sealcoat 19 Overlay 24 Sealcoat The five year projected budget for this program over the next few years is as follows: Year Total Budget 2001 $430,000 2002 $520,000 2003 $580,000 2004 $640,000 The 2001 program is projected to have a cost of $426,910, which will be funded from three sources; $200,000 from the general fund, $200,000 from assessments and $26,910 from developer escrows. Staff will have maps available at the meeting illustrating the location, and costs of the program which will consist of both sealcoating proceeded by crackfilling, and bituminous overlays. In the past, individual projects, have been scheduled on a subdivision bases. If this years program were scheduled in a manner similar to past years, it would need to include almost thirty individual projects, each with its own public notices and hearings. Staff is proposing a format change which will consolidate into a single project, various subdivisions having similar pavement histories and pavement areas relative to the number assessed units. Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the projects that would be grouped together would be similar subdivisions. City Engineer Jankowski replied yes. Mayor Gamec inquired as to what the estimated costs of all the projects would be. City Engineer Jankowski replied that staff is projecting $405,000, which is approximately $20,000 under budget. Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if any consideration had been given to the higher cost of oil. City Engineer Jankowski replied that they figured in an overall ten percent increase.
