Staff will have maps available at the meeting illustrating the location, and <br />costs of the program which will consist of both sealcoating proceeded by crackfilling, and <br />bituminous overlays. In the past, individual projects, have been scheduled on a subdivision <br />bases. If this years program were scheduled in a manner similar to past years, it would need to <br />include almost thirty individual projects, each with its own public notices and hearings. Staff is <br />proposing a format change which will consolidate into a single project, various subdivisions <br />having similar pavement histories and pavement areas relative to the number assessed units. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the projects that would be grouped together would be <br />similar subdivisions. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied yes. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired as to what the estimated costs of all the projects would be. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that staff is projecting $405,000, which is approximately <br />$20,000 under budget. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if any consideration had been given to the higher cost of <br />oil. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that they figured in an overall ten percent increase. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/January 16, 2001 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
