Councilmember Hendriksen replied that he was not sure, but would find out. He stated that he <br />would like to know if there is some interest in having them located in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he thought it would be a great to have QCTV located in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman would be in support of QCTV locating to Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the Council would be willing to help support getting <br />them in the City in any significant way. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that there is some help you can give to some organizations that <br />you cannot give to non-profit organizations and they would need to clarify what support they can <br />and cannot give. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he thinks the suggestion should be made to QCTV and then bring the <br />issue back to the Council for consideration of financial support. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman requested that staff research the financial aspects and have the City <br />Attorney review the legal aspects. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Authorization of Sale of Property with Anoka County Community Action <br />Program (ACCAP) <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City of Ramsey entered into a purchase agreement with <br />the Anoka County Community Action Program, Inc. (ACCAP) on February 18, 1999. The <br />purchase agreement would allow for the sale of City-owned property at the intersection of T.H. <br />#47 and soon-to-be-built Sunwood Drive. The purchase agreement spelled out that a <br />development agreement would be executed between the parties, which would complete the sale <br />of the property owned by the City to ACCAP. Staff completed negotiations on a development <br />agreement and prepared the development agreement for Council consideration during the regular <br />meeting of December 12, 2000. ACCAP subsequently requested the City to simply follow <br />through with the sale of the property with an agreed upon amount of $269,000. At a recent <br />meeting with the City Attorney, the Council directed staff to place the item on the Council <br />agenda for reconsideration of the matter. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to introduce and <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of certain City-owned property located in the City of Ramsey and <br />direct staff to close on the sale of the property pursuant to the terms of the purchase agreement <br />and subject to final adoption of the ordinance. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the purchase agreement was beyond <br />the one year time limit. City Attorney Goodrich explained that if the City chose to continue with <br />the lawsuit, it would not be a good suit to be defending.
