Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what will be built on the northern part of the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharp explained that a building 30,000 to 40,000 square feet could be constructed on the <br />northern portion of the property. He stated that if the City requires that a frontage road be <br />aligned with Sunfish Lake Court then they will have to remove several of the oaks that they are <br />trying to save. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested approving the access onto McKinley Street at this time and then create <br />the access from Sunfish Lake Boulevard with future development. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharp replied that the access would be needed for this building. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if there would be any possibility of extending Sunfish <br />Lake Court to the west and connecting with Azurite Street. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied no, explaining that there would be buildings in the way. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that the proposed entrance should have been on the plans <br />before it was presented to the Council so they would have a better feel of what they were <br />considering. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to approve <br />the proposed site plan for Sharp and Associates, contingent upon compliance with City staff <br />review letter dated February 1, 2001, revised February 21, 2001, and upon resolving the access <br />from Sunfish Lake Boulevard aligning with Sunfish Lake Court. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Anderson stated that she would like to preserve as many <br />trees as possible. Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the Council would like staff to decide <br />on the access or have the item brought back to the Council. Consensus was to have the item <br />brought back to the Council for review. <br /> <br />Motion was withdrawn. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to table <br />action. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Kurak.
