A Utility License to Cross Public Lands and Waters will be required.
Land ~lse along the trunk sewer alignment will be generally residential. The trunk sewer extension will pass through
the proposed Puke Homes Pine Shadows multi-use development, currently, portions of the Pulte Homes site are
being used ibr agricultural pul-poses, and other portions have b~en used as sand/gravel pits. The project is
c{)mpatible with the existing and proposed residential-~d commercial developments on adjacent lands. The
sarrounding land use is zoned residential and rural reserve on the north and northeast sides. To the southeast is the
Town Center. On the west and northwest sides, the area is zoned for a Planned Unit Development. US Highway 10
ams along the south border of the project site, and to the south of the highway the land is zoned residential.
Yhe project is generally located in an area transitioning irt land use fi.om primarily agricultural and rural residential
to pr/manly urban land. It is compatible with existing and proposed land uses in the area.
A ctmtingency plan to address unanticipated soil contamination will be in place. The contingency p!an will address
the appropriate procedures the contractor should ?~llow (i.e, discontinue work, make proper notifications - Project
engineer, State Duty Officer/MPCA, etc.) in the event that contamination is encountered.

-473--
