PC CASE <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE <br /> A FIRE SECRETARY <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As part of the 2005 budget, the City Council created a part-time Fire Secretary position. <br />q he position was advertised internally and externally beginning in March. <br />ApproXimately"40'applications were received. Twelve interviews were conducted and <br />fivc second interviews were conducted. Based on the interview panel's review, staff is <br />recommending that Frankie Jo McNallan be hired for the Fire Secretary position. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Sta/~' is recommending Frankie Jo McNallan for the Fire Secretary position at an hourly <br />wage of $15.60, plus benefits. The results of Ms. McNallan's criminal and driver's <br />license background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment physical and drug <br />screen were satisfactory.
