Mr. Thompson is a Senior Planner in TKDA's Municipal Division. He has 30 years <br /> of planning experience and has worked for and with a variety of private and public entities <br /> — throughout his career. Mr. Thompson was with the Metropolitan Council for 12 years <br /> where he most recently served as Supervisor of the Comprehensive Planning Unit. In this <br /> ▪ position he oversaw the Council's plan review function of local comprehensive plans and <br /> ▪ worked with the Builder's Association of the Twin Cities on issues of land supply, MUSA <br /> changes, and barriers to affordable housing. <br /> SIMILAR EXPERIENCE <br /> — Project Manager, Victoria Comprehensive Plan;Victoria, MN. TKDA is partnering with <br /> MK Land to prepare a Comprehensive Plan Revision for the City of Victoria. The City has a mixture of <br /> urban development and rural spaces along with an orderly annexation agreement.TKDA is <br /> preparing the updated Plan based on information in a major plan amendment completed in <br /> — 2004. Major issues in preparing the Plan are accommodating additional growth, providing <br /> adequate infrastructure, protecting the natural resources, and preserving the rural, small- <br /> ` town character of the community. The planning effort will involve significant public <br /> participation through an on-line citizens' survey and a Task Force.
