TKDA provides extensive and varied services, effectively <br /> integrating planning and engineering functions. The projects <br /> ..., outlined in this section provide examples that are similar in nature to the Ramsey <br /> Comprehensive Plan Update. <br /> 2030 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> LAKE ELMO, MN <br /> - TKDA assisted the City of Lake Elmo in completing its 2030 Comprehensive Plan in <br /> accordance with Metropolitan Council guidelines.With a population of nearly 8,000, Lake <br /> — Elmo is a vibrant and growing community in the northeast metropolitan area. The new <br /> Comprehensive Plan provides for additional higher density and mixed use development <br /> within its "Old Village" and a Greenbelt around the core of the Old Village. <br /> TKDA prepared the transportation plan,wastewater facilities,and water supply elements of <br /> the Comprehensive Plan, and developed all the maps for the Comprehensive Plan. TKDA <br /> also contributed to land use policy development and the density analysis associated with <br /> — the Transfer of Development Rights program. TKDA assisted the City staff and officials <br /> to coordinate with other units of government and ongoing communication with the <br /> - <br /> Metropolitan Council throughout the planning process. <br /> TKDA is currently completing the Park Plan element of the Comprehensive Plan.This work <br /> — included a needs assessment and creation of park planning standards specifically tailored PROJECT <br /> to Lake Elmo. The Park Plan includes maps identifying important natural resources and <br /> -- Park Plan recommendations to illustrate the interrelationships between the park system EXPERIENCE <br /> and the natural environment. TKDA facilitated discussion at monthly Parks Commission <br /> meetings throughout the planning process.
