City of Ramsey <br />2008 Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Proposal <br />NIV <br />DSU <br />Bonestroo <br />Identification of Qualifications of Assigned Personnel <br />• Key Personnel <br />Phil Carlson, AICP, will be the Project Manager for the overall Comprehensive Plan Update, overseeing the <br />planning team. Phil serves as Director of Planning for DSU/Bonestroo and has more than 30 years of <br />experience in planning and special studies, including comprehensive plans for the cities of Burnsville, <br />Roseville, Mendota Heights, Vadnais Heights, St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids, Little Falls, Alexandria, and many others. <br />Phil is dedicated to serving municipalities with innovative, high quality planning services. <br />Brendon Slotterback brings regional planning, comprehensive planning, and environmental planning <br />experience to your project. He is currently working with the City of Woodbury to update land use designations. <br />The process involved a study of current market demand for land types in the city, research on mixed use <br />standards and ordinances, and an extensive public participation process. Brendon is adept at analyzing county <br />and city zoning ordinances, writing and editing environmental review documents, and keeping the public <br />involved throughout a project's progression. <br />Paul Bockenstedt will provide a variety of natural resources expertise to your project. Paul, who is also familiar <br />with Ramsey, inventories, monitors, manages, and restores a wide variety of natural areas across the Upper <br />Midwest. He works with cities on natural area inventories, conservation/low impact development design, <br />natural resource management plans, wetland inventories, environmental reviews, master park and natural <br />resource planning, and a variety of other projects. Paul also provides public and professional education and <br />training on a variety of natural resource -related topics. <br />Gunnar Unger brings more than 40 years of experience with building types including municipal, recreational, <br />medical, and commercial facilities. He has extensive experience managing projects of all types and sizes, <br />seeing that the project team accomplishes the tasks associated with providing design services. Gunnar offers <br />design services in traditional design/bid/build format, design/build, or construction management formats. <br />Hongyi Duan has been with DSU since 1994. She has worked on a wide variety of projects in her role as GIS <br />Coordinator including comprehensive plans, zoning studies, and urban design. She also serves as a day-to-day <br />mapping consultant for a number of cities in Minnesota.
