Motion by Couneilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 8:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 8:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated Haubrich and Juskewicz should be removed from the assessment roll and <br />their money in escrow used toward their assessment. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to utilize Mr. <br />Haubrich's escrow money toward Haubrich, Green and Juskewicz. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that no one on the original 151 st Street will be assessed. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that Mr. Haubrich will not be assessed but will not receive a <br />reimbursement. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman asked if the residents are aware of the next step in the process. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated staff would bring back the projects to be authorized at the May <br />22, 2001 Council meeting, to go out for bids. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated the residents have 60 days from tonight to petition against any of <br />the special assessment projects. If a petition of 55% or more is submitted, it would stop the <br />project. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #3: City of Ramsey Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated the City has been working on the 2020 Comprehensive Plan <br />for the past four years. The formal plan review began on October 4, 2000. The sixty-day review <br />period ended on December 3, 2000, and the Metropolitan Council extended the review period for <br />another 60 days, as provided by law. During the City Council meeting on January 23, 2001, the <br />City Council authorized staff to request an extension and the Metropolitan Council agreed to <br /> <br /> City Council/March 13, 2001 <br /> Page 17 of 31 <br /> <br /> <br />
