She noted this location is by a daycare <br />center and asked if that is a concern since liquor licenses cannot be issued by a school. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated a daycare use is not in the City ordinance or State Statutes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson noted that question #15 on Page 2 of 4 asks if the real estate taxes are <br />paid and it is answered "No" which indicates taxes are delinquent. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated real estate taxes are required to be paid in full. <br /> <br />Mark Callender, applicant, stated that as far as he is aware, all real estate taxes are paid in full. <br />He stated it appears that he made a mistake when he filled out that form. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that question #15 goes on to require proof of payment from <br />the County Auditor, which is not attached. <br /> <br />Barry Brottlund, leasing manager and representative of North Lake Properties, stated they closed <br />on the permanent loan at the end of October and at that time all real estate taxes had to be paid in <br />full. He stated he is 99% positive the taxes are current and Mr. Callender simply made an error <br />when completing the form. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson asked that this item be tabled until the next meeting so the <br />memorandum statement from the County Auditor can be submitted indicating the taxes are paid <br />in full. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen asked Mr. Callender when they would like to open. <br /> <br />Mr. Callender stated they would like to open by May 1st. He pointed out that Rum River Wine <br />and Spirits is also located across the street and just as close to the daycare. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec clarified that the daycare business opened after the liquor store was in place.
