other. The other issue is that Mate property has an access a few feet north of Sunfish Lake Court
and if the divided median was installed it would be limited from left turn movements from
Sunfish Lake Boulevard. Staff recommended that the proposed access be moved to be directly
across from Sunfish Lake Court.

Dennis Sharp, Sharp and Associates, L.L.C., requested that the access be left as proposed. He
stated that if a median is constructed, a right-in and right-out would be more acceptable than
what would have to be done with an access at the north end of the property. If the access were to
be located across from Sunfish Lake Court they would have to construct a frontage road and
"snake" through the property.

Councilmember Zimmerman stated that, in his opinion, the City needs to work with the highway
department, and he felt that the City would be better off in the long run if they went along with
the County's recommendation.

Mr. Sharp replied that they designed the building to salvage as many large oaks as possible and if
the frontage road is required they will have to remove one large oak. Mr. Sharp stated that
during the last Council meeting there was ,some discussion regarding the use of colored block
and there seemed to be an assumption that he was placing several different colors of colored
block to get under a City ordinance. He explained that he did not know that the City had such an
ordinance and since the meeting he has read the ordinance and still is not sure that there is such a
requirement. In the future color block will not be in his vocabulary.

Mayor Gamec stated that he felt that the access recommended by the County would work well
for the site.

Councilmember Hendriksen stated that City Administrator Norman has indicated a possible site
for QCTV be located across the street from Mr. Sharp's proposed access and, if so, would it
make sense to determine if there is a desire to work something out with QCTV and, if so,
approach the access location from a different direction.

City Administrator Norman reviewed the possible location for QCTV.

Councilmember Kurak noted that there was a misunderstanding of what property was available
and for that reason the access probably would not work.

Mr. Sharp stated that moving Sunfish Lake Court would be an expensive solution.

Mayor Gamec stated that the recommendation of the County is the best option.

City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the possibility of relocating Sunfish Lake Court.

Councilmember Anderson inquired how Mate would have access from Sunfish Lake Boulevard
if the access is moved further south.

City Council/March 20, 2001
