Key project components _ x : ' <br /> included transportation, housing, <br /> infrastructure (water and sewer services), <br /> parks and recreation, future land use, and <br /> community development opportunities. <br /> The goal of the project was to develop a <br /> Comprehensive Plan for Crete that: <br /> • Articulated the vision and goals for the community <br /> • Identified areas for future growth and redevelopment <br /> • Acted as a catalyst for community action in the form of public and private development <br /> initiatives <br /> • Integrated components such as land use, transportation, housing, and parks into a <br /> concise, easy-to-use planning tool <br /> An unforeseen component of the planning process was the development of a Sidewalk Master <br /> Plan. The need for such a plan arose during the process and culminated in the development <br /> of an approach that identified a specific methodology to construct a comprehensive sidewalk <br /> network throughout the community.
